Switch
Silkscreen, monoprint, bric-a-brac, metal button clasps, glue.
An installation work created in collaboration with Chicago artist Beth Reitmeyer, Switch addresses a general relationship we have to machinery and technology. Advise about machines culled from friends is collected upon wearable handcrafted buttons, and the viewer is encouraged to leave behind another piece of advice about machines in exchange for a button we have made. A set of monoprints within the installation highlight some of our favorites.
