Inside the Studio

My Starburst series began in 2013, at a time when colorful and mesmerizing images of deep space comprised most of my research.

Here is an image of some of the first prints in this series. Since 2013, I have continued the series of prints, most recently for a commission project with Olson-Larsen Gallery.

I use a very sparse template for these prints, in which only the center is marked with a few lines radiating outward. This enables each print to be completely different in this series of monoprints.

Each composition, each color combination, and the overall feel of each print is unique. The possibilities are endless in this series.
